I've always had an interest in art and picture taking. It all started at a young age when taking pictures of my friends and family at social gatherings and family functions was a lot of fun. Then after a while, it got to the point where I would bring my camera along everywhere I went.

Later on, I developed an interest in photographing nature. Landscapes, seascapes, flowers, gardens, sunsets and pets/animals. My interests also lie in creating unique pictures for websites, artist portfolios, that is, band photos, models, actors, sports team photos and product pictures.

I've studied photography over the years at my own leisure and being an artist myself, it just came natural for me. It was the winter of 2005 when I really discovered, while doing a photo shoot for a magician/actor no less, that digital photography was right for me.

My studio is very comfortable and has a relaxed ambiance about it where unique photos are created.
Besides creating beautiful digital images, I specialize in slideshows or what some refer to as a "photo montage" on CD/DVD for just about every occasion you can imagine. I really enjoy creating a "cinematic experience" from photographs. It pulls the viewer into a whole different dimension when viewing photographs that really come to life on your television.

Patty's career started 23 years ago while training at John Amico's School of Hair Design in Oak Forest, IL and then working for John Amico's Hair Performers in Tinley Park, IL for the first 3 years of her career. While working for Hair Performers, she received numerous promotions and became a Master Designer as well as a Salon Educator.

She became very involved in competitions in which she received several awards. When the salon closed, she relocated to L.T.L. Hair Designers in Tinley Park, IL where she has been employed since 1988.

At the present time, Patty works full time at L.T.L. Hair Designers and here at Smoke & Mirrors Photography. Patty loves to work with clients of all ages and enjoys her clientele as well as working independently in the studio.
